The Integrated Teaching and Learning Laboratory (ITLL) at CU Boulder was updating their logo and put out a call to students to propose new designs. Though I wasn't a student at the time, it sounded like a fun challenge and I ended up submitting 5 different designs. Ultimately I got second place in the competition, the winning logo can be seen on the ITLL's website. Below are my two favorites.
Submission 1: Hand

This logo was made to directly call to the hands-on approach the ITLL takes to learning. For all of these logos, I started with the letters and distorted them to different extents. This was also my first time trying to make an animated logo, and I was really happy with the result.
Submission 2: Dimension

3D-Animated logo.
3D-Animated logo.
This logo was fun because it is made to also work in a 3D-space. It's again supposed to reference the multi-dimensionality of the work done in the lab. Paired with my submission, I also included a 3D model made in Autodesk Fusion 360.
