I remodeled the broken leg as close as I could, including screw holes and guides for internal electronics. This involved trying out new methods for matching the original shape like using a photocopier to scan the base of the leg. The end result is very close to the original and can be finished off with a dab of hot glue as a foot-pad.
Since posting the model, I've gotten comments that people around the world have used the model to fix their own Mavic!
